In fact, SUVs as a class are more dangerous, not only to drivers and passengers, but vitally, to pedestrians as well. SUVs roll over easier, do not have the crumple zones which protect occupants, have high hoods which kills pedestrians by slamming them head first into the pavement - as opposed to feet first when they are hit by a sports car. There are a few "less dangerous" SUVs available - like my Porsche Cayenne S, but they are expensive. Clearly, you do NOT understand the safety benefits of SUVs – because there aren’t any.
