I keep getting the same error:

An error occured in the Query Parser.

I am inputing the settings you have listed. What am I doing wrong? I am using v.9.4. I will DL 9.3 and see if it helps. Thanks.

Thank you for this... very easy to use when I downgraded to 9.3. AND make sure to set your Cores to max in the File>Option>CLI tab or you're going to be converting for hours instead of 20mins.

For some reason HandBreak wont let me change the resolution from 624x352 to 848x480 like you suggest. Is this because I'm using a different (more up-to-date) version of HandBreak than you did in this guide?

Klink: HandBreak 9.4 made some changes that limit the setting. Try installing 9.3 if you have troubles. There is a DL link in this post for 9.3.

Just got my Incredible yesterday; spent 1.5 hours trying to figure out why I couldn't see my videos once I transfered them to the SD card. Then I "stumbled" on Handbrake. What a savior. Thanks very much.

Klink; Glad you got it worked out.

Edan,
Sorry, on handbrake 9.4 I kept the settings at 720x480 and it came out very good. All the other settings are same as above. Video set at H264 and container at MP4 bitrate 1500.
*Note * My friend tried running DVD shrink on his computer and realized the old DVD shrink would not work. We later realized that the copy that I had did not run in Windows 7. There is a Windows 7 version that we downloaded.

Basic settings do not seem to work on my droid (2.1 update). I used handbrake, with

MP4 format (but m4v file, renamed to mp4 shouldn't matter)
h264 codec
const quality

Works fine on mac, recognized on droid, doesn't play on droid.

didn't change any other default settings. Did rename the file from m4v to mp4

Klink: I have the 2.1 update and those setting still work perfect on my two Droid phones. Have you downloaded the test file to check if it works?

Kitaro, I wasn't able to change the width to 848 using version 9.4 like I mentioned above. I see that u said u used klinks settings and I wanted to know if u could tell me how u did it? I switched to 9.3 for a day but it turns out the output files from that were causing problems with my phone, not the video app like I thought. I'm guessing I had a setting wrong in 9.3 since that's what klink is using. Thanks to anyone with any input.

I have been working on this for days now, and finally realized that some dvd's are protected. (I know Duh!)
I used a program to rip from the dvd to your hard drive, before using handbrake. I used dvd shrink, and re authored the entire video to my hard drive as .vob files. I then used handbrake 9.4 worked fine to put them on the droid, using the same settings Klink has above. It is not as hard as it sounds.
